JD stopped eating

My JD stopped eating last week and im starting to get worried..He was eating and doing fine before but i dont know what happened...He is currently housed in a 100 gallon tank with a oscar and is 6 inches.

Can someone give me advice on how to make my JD start eating again? or tell me whats wrong with him?

This is one part of JD's that I don't like.....how they suddenly get picky (most of them) around 6" long. Mine did the same thing and also stopped coming out of his cave less and less as he grew past 5". Mine would eat about 2 or 3 times a week, but only frozen or live foods. I tried to starve him for a week to get him to eat other stuff and it didn't work. He outlasted me! He ended up dying shortly after I introduced some Silver Dollars, but I'm not sure if it was disease, lack of nutrition, or a combination of both (lower immune system from not eating). He looked great (health-wise) and had perfect coloration......even found him dead with good coloration! He simply kept getting less and less mobile and just expired! Didn't eat his last week. My other fish are doing fine, though.

Mine hardly ever comes out from a cave he dug in the corner under some drift wood and behind some plants. He will only eat frozen food and fresh shrimp or fish. He used to eat anything but I haven't seen him eat a pellet in months. He is about the same size and maybe even a little smaller. It seems to be a pretty common thing and just part of the species.

had same problem feed it kril ummmm kryl ...cant spell
but small frozen whole shrip . pink nit browm mush stuff.

My JD stoped eating prllets if they dont go for that something is wrong ....... my fish went from not eating to attacking it the second it hits the water.
