Jebo Odyssea CFS 4

I know you all heard this before...you get what you pay for...or, maybe not :) Well after approximately 2 months of running my 2 CFS4, I still quite satisfied with them regardless of the couple issues with them. But for $40 this filters beat the crap of any HOB filters outthere at what they do. I guess it all depends on the type of environment you have in your aquarium (ie. planted tank with community fishes, cichlids, etc). If you have a heavily stocked aquarium you will definately will need to supplement your canister with another filter. Now, I don't consider this abnormal since I always see many forums where individuals run 2 Eheims or other canister in their aquariums to get optimun water.

Now, I have a question. When I clean my CSF4 I noticed that all the gunk is in the bottom tray, almost like if it skipped the top tray. Have you guys noticed that? Is this normal?

I would like suggestions on what media to use and in which basket should I place it.

Thanks everyone... :joe:

I dunno, I'd rather have a nice Aquaclear or Emperor than a crappy canister.

Jet- go with the Fluval! I have the 204 (older model) and it's nice. I haven't had any problems with it at all, not even when I let my maintenance lapse for a while! I've had it for a couple of years now with no issues. It's not the best out there, but I've heard so many negative things about Jebo/Odyssea products that there's no way I'd buy any of them. I agree that generally, you get what you pay for.
