Jebo Skimmer

you raise or lower the collection cup by moving the o-ring up or down. easy as pie.

I had the Jebo Skimmer and it broke...

It's a very close clone of the CPR Bak-Pak so if you like the CPR, you'll probably like the Jebo. My problem is that the intake tube broke and leaked all over my study. I spoke to the LFS where I bought it, and they can't get parts, and stopped carrying it because several customers complained of the same problem. The inside tube has a threaded nipple that the outter tube screws onto, but the threaded nipple is breaking between the threads. So eventually, the tubes seperate where thay meet at the skimmer wall.

I'm in the process of trying to find a replacement tube, maybe even buy one from CPR if available, and enlarging the hole in the skimmer wall (if necessary) to make it fit. I hate to throw it away because it was working well before the crack started.

I loved my Aqua C for the First year and then out of no where it stops skimming. So I do the usual I clean it extensively, check for blockages, let it dry out for a few days outside the tank, and I even replace the power head. But nothing will get this thing skimming anymore. I run it on a 16G Nano so yes it is overkill but I think I am going to go a little more upscale and get something to sit in my refugium instead of hanging in the main tank. The tteam at Aqua C Was great but they never did come through and offer a replacement.

The AquaC Remora is one of the best for the money. I've adjusted mine twice this year.

did you clean out the venturi nozzle?
rinse it in vinigar?
what do you mean it stopped skimming??? stopped producing bubbles or did it jsut stop pulling out gunk?

The bubbles are not enough to fill up the collection tube and flow into the cup anymore. And yes I did a full cleaning.

I used to have a jebo skimmer 180. It worked, but i felt that it wasn't skimming very well. However the price was right. I got it online from www.shopjebo.com. After a few months I got myself an AquaC Remora. The AquaC work like a charm!
