congrades..there so cute and actually most jeelybeans can breed, it's bloodparrot males that are sterile, jellybean parrots are a cross between bloodparrot femaile and someother fish, so there a hybrid of a hybrid

when the parents put the babies in their mouth they are giving them a "washing".

jellybean, blood parrot etc will still exhibit some of the instincts of the Cichlids.

many Cichlids chase the babies and return them to an area the parents feel more comfortable with. (defend etc)

it's just easy to suck them up and spit them out where they want them to stay.

i have blood parrots and the female always lays eggs but since the male isnt capable of fertilzing the eggs they end up eating them. oh well.. good luck with your jelly beans.

Just to let you know, I got my 3rd generation of babies. They breed every 28 days sharp. I think I have to take them back to the store, I have hundreds now in the breeder.
