??Jobe's fertilizer sticks for Aquarium??

which ones Jeff? the Jobes or the dollar store variety?

and i didn't pick any up today at the dollar store. completely forgot! lol. was too busy piecing together an artsy n craftsy gift for my kiddo's friend's bday party tomorrow.

 ...well, we beggars cannot B choosy when we don't live near shopping malls...I think?!? I still have some old Jobers at home. They have not arrived in our only Walmart yet - too early in the season...gives U an idea how remote we live, right?

The Jobes. I get them at my local hardware store. The garden shop is too expensive and rudeness is about all you get out of them and the discount store is too far away for me to drive at the present time.

I'm thinking about trying this also for my low light 36gal tank, everything is growing and doing what I would consider "moderately well" but I was thinking about cutting the sticks in 3rds or smaller and putting some in the gravel near my crypts to what happens.

I just want to make sure they're safe for fish and inverts also (don't leach any toxins??)

urea is the toxin. it's a form of ammonia. that's why they have to be pushed well into the substrate... so it doesn't leak into the water column to fast to convert before it spikes.

osmocote fertcicles work well too. i'm thinking of making osmocote/indian clay tabs. i'm thinking no mixing, just form, let dry, insert, enjoy.
