Jobs?

I manage a group that makes sure 911 calls from our company's wireless phones work correctly and that the 911 center gets the most accurate info possible. Good side, I can work from home when I want. Bad side, on call 24 x 7 for crisis management. I do try to do my water changes while on conference calls though. ;)

I teach 7th grade Language Arts (reading/writing) in the Bay Area, Mountain View, California specifically. The pay is pretty good (though I'll never own a home) and you can't beat hanging out all day with kids and getting them to love literature they way you do. The summers/random weeks off are also pretty good! :) ~brandy

Very cool! I'm majoring in English right now to become a teacher. Is it as fun as I hope??

I manage (not own...atleast not yet) a pet store full time 9 hours of the day and I wouldn't change it. I love it! Some pet stores are really dirty and don't even take a second look at there tanks and other animals but i pride myself (and the other girls) in doing one 40% (give or take) weekly water change/gravel vacs on all 34 tanks and keeping them clean and the fish healthy. Its not a fast process but our fish are very healthy and well taken care of compared to some of the tanks/fish you see in other locally owned stores! Also, the animal cages are squeezed in there to get cleaned too! Sometimes I gotta stay pretty late at night to get it all done but in my opinion, its worth it!

By day I am a mild mannered mathematical statistician.

By night I fight crime as the super-teen extraordinaire, Freakazoid!

Day Job: personal assistant/secretary in the US Navy
