Jpappy's 10 gallon CP setup

LOL. My mom has been looking at my Agave's and tells me to give her 5 of them I started laughing. I was like no way I paid to much for them. I see them as my babies and I aint ready to let any of them or there many babies go. The original idea was to grow them and sell the babies for a lil extra income. But yeah CP's is something ill leave for a later date.

I tossed one of the adelaes...just wasn't holding up.

I'm wondering if I am using the wrong water. It says that it is RO filtered but I just noticed that they also add sodium bicarbonate and sodium sulfate in "negligible" amounts. Do you think that is the problem?

I don't know of any place other than my LFS that has legit RO water and it is fairly over priced there. I'm not in the position to invest in a system myself but where do you guys get yours?
 
If they're adding salts to it, that could be it. I just get distilled water at the grocery store. I think it's like 1.75 for 2.5 gallons.
 
Guess I'll be refilling my tank then...hopefully that is the issue and not just the amount of water in general since they should be getting plenty of that...and every other spec seems to be within a good range.

JB, what soil did you use with the pearlite for the pot you sent me? It doesn't look like peat moss but I wasn't sure.
 
It's peat moss. I don't remember the brand name, but it's sphagnum peat moss.
 
Ha! Found the bag: Black Gold canadian sphagnum peat moss. It doesn't look like the stuff I get plants shipped in either, but it's been working well for my plants.
