Yeah, um about those pics...my camera's being fussy. Not sure what's up but I will post them asap.
Anyways, I'm thinking about doing a mini-bog with some plants that will be fine overwintered in my area (technically zone 5 for winter, zone 4 for summer). Basically since I have a pot and substrate mix already (going to be 1:1:1 of sand, peat, and pearlite) I figured why not. The plan for plants is to move my S. purpurea in since it wont last long in a terrarium and get some D. rotundifolia and D. filiformis since they are all native to the cooler areas of North America. I actually stopped into Lowes today to see if they had any Sarrs left but the only CP there was a really sad looking VFT on clearance for a buck. I had to take it! Not sure what I am going to do with it long term since it probably wont do well in a real winter climate. I will probably keep it in the terrarium and have it spend dormancy in the fridge.
As for the other plants, things look to be getting better. I noticed a fungus growth on the soil of the Sarr. I think it's bringing up too much moisture or I'm not getting enough circulation within the tank. I removed one of the lights since it wasn't turned on anyways (placed it above the cacti seedlings) which should open up the tank more. All the dews are producing more and more dew. The spatulata seems to have caught a gnat. I placed an ant I found in my room on the capensis but it hasn't reacted yet. The nep is producing more pitchers too and I switched it to where the ping was so it could get to more light. The pitchers nearest the light were starting to get redder. The ping lost the flower it came with but a new one along with some healthier leaves seem to be on the way.
Again, pics hopefully will come later!
