Can you guys tell me about these fish? What is the smallest size aquarium they can live in? I saw some at my LFS and now I want to keep them... :)

They are a agressive fish from Lake Tanganyika but compared to some other cichlids, not so much. But they can pack a punch for their size, which is about 4". Dickfeldi's do best in pairs, but is better to get 3 or 4, let them pair off and then remove the extras. A rock dwelling, but substrate spawning cichlid, they love rock structures with lots of nooks and crannies. All Julidochromis species are omnivores and high quality flakes and pellets will be a sufficient diet. A minimum tank size would probably be 15 gallons for a breeding pair, but a 20 gal. with lots of rockwork would be better in my opinion.

Ok thanks. :) I'm getting a 20 gal, and I really want some of these... Soooo pretty... Thanks for the info! I googled them, didn't get much...

get a 29 and get some other jullies and tang. good luck
