I haven't really had problems with the salt. I never add it directly to my water ( I ALWAYS dissolve it first or I put it in a shot glass somewhere in the tank). Seems to be working pretty well. I have decided not to restock but rather to add everythign from my 10 gallon into the 20 and all of the guppy juvies into the 10 gallon.
