Jurupari ?'s

S. jurupari and leucosticta are different species but they are pretty similar fish
Yeah, now that I have looked into them more, I see that. I was thinking that they were the same, just different names for them. They seem to be really cool fish none the same though.
From what I have read, they get around 9" and most of the places say a 55g is the bare min for them. So I would think trying to upgrade would for sure be best IMO :)

I still want the Balzani Geo's i love that Nochal Hump

Pictures don't do him justice, he has markings kinda like a green terror around his face which look wicked nice.

I'm working on getting him a 125 and then some friends, it probobly won't be untill summer though....

You could keep juraparis in a 55g for a long time before they grow too big for it. I would guess it would take about a year to go from 2" to 5"+. I have some and they are slowly getting bigger. I feed mine high protein foods like crushed Massivore, Tetra Microcrabs and live blackworms.

Yeah, I actually got 2 baby Jurupari's friday (4 bucks each, as opposed to the 40 I paid for the other guy!) and have them in the 55 now with the bigger Lueco.

He hasn't grown much since I've had him, although these guys will be getting a 125 this summer.
