Just a thought

it's the same thing as when ppl ask for a band-aid or a kleenex and thats not the name of the actual brand their using. The one i hate the most is when someone ask for a Coke, and they don't mean a coke product.....i think there is a term for this, i would have to use yahoo to google it though.

hmm...i have a thought...why dont the people who use other search engines say..."i researched it?" or maybe "i looked it up?" that sounds much better than i yahooed it, or msned it....i've never actually said googled it:)

to google (third-person singular simple present googles, present participle googling, simple past googled, past participle googled)

Tom googles all of his prospective girlfriends.

(transitive) By extension, to search for (something) on the Internet using any comprehensive search engine.
I googled him but there were no references to him on the Internet

It has become generic, like many things.

the action of researching on the internet is now google no matter what search engine u use. THE END, :D

In the past, I've lycosed things, and I also alta-vistaed things.... currently i use about 50-50 yahoo and google, they often come up with slightly different results
