Just Bought These Beasts!

Personally, I would just root feed those plants.

I plan on adding swords and was told that they would need root tabs anyway. So I'll have both. Or 4, since the starter pack comes with 3 things.

i would have to agree... root feeding should be plenty in that tank and keep excess ferts out of the water column.

also although you should have enough light for the rest of your plants that java moss i suspect will need more. i have apons, java fern, anubias... that are doing well in around 1 wpg flourescent... java moss just hangs and loses it's leaves. i suspect light as it does great and has taken over my other tank without co2.

Also, bubble walls in planted tanks are bad.
Only if CO2 is being artificially injected.

I had an aponogeton similar to those and it got HUGE! If was about as big as the bigger one when I got it and it took off. The tallest leaves were around 6' long when stretched out all the way. Some of the flower stalks were even longer

I'll be using Flourish Excel, not CO2, is that fine with bubbles?

Very pretty plants whatever they turn out to be by the way! Did you use plastic window screen or a coated metal?

Just curious as I am thinking of doing something similar as I have a butt load of moss and I have always loved the look of the moss walls in other folks tanks. I can't wait to see how your turns out!!

I used Window screen. Same as my 10g. I'll send you some pics soon of the 10g. Not quite full, but you'll get the idea.

you'll be fine with excel and bubbles because excel is not a gas and therfore, cannot OFF-gas.

Awesome, thanks.
