Just can't make it foam!

lol... that worked um, well i guess.

all of the operations worked fine, cut inner tube on inside and cup, with dremel.

now it leaks in a spot i didn't touch.... sigh.....

a bucket can fix this, but still no foam.

also noticed little air bubbles pouring out of my powerhead.

tomorrow will still visit pet store, maybe talk to some friends about extras...

Hey, are you saying my first skimmer was the worst? What next, you gonna say my second skimmer, the Red Sea Prism, was the second worse? LOL.. boy did I waste a ton of money in the beginning.
gee thanks, i got a 72gal tank a little over a year ago, do the red sea prizm skimmers do a good job, or are they junk?

You tell me... on a 72G tank you should be able to fill the cup on a Prism daily with dark skimmate (because the cup is so small), but the reality is that skimmer just can't do that. Some people claim that have success with that skimmer, but I question how much experience those people have and what are they comparing it to when they say "Mine works". I used mine for less than a month and went in the trash, $120 wasted. I just couldn't handle it doing nothing, or overflowing the cup, there didn't seem to be an "in between" setting that made it actually work. On a 72G tank that skimmer is waaaay to small IMO. The Prism at best is a 30G and under skimmer.

i looked on line, and there are two models, i have the model that costs about 300 bucks, dont know if it is any better, but im not too worried, i didnt pay for it, it just came with the tank.
