Just got a New Convict

I just got a new male convict and put him into my 29g with a female convict. They are about the same size, still very young and the female won't stop picking on the male. Is this normal behavior? should i be worried about the female killing the male?

She has claimed the tank as her own and feels he is invading her space if she has been in the tank a while. I would rearrange the decor in the tank so that territory can be established again by her, but the new guy also can establish some too.

100% agree..

Would some dither fish help as well?

I would think dither fish would help out get a lil of the focus off each other and more on the other fish. Thats what im doing with my fish currently.
