I just picked up some live rock today for my little 6g tank and now that its been in there for a couple hours i noticed quite a few of these little guys have sprang up. Are these friendly or do i need to get rid of them?

Looks like Aiptasia, can be a pest to coral if you plan on keeping them. I would deal with them asap, imo.

Yep, aptasia. Very common and unwanted hitchiker. Nuke them with Joe's Juice, AptaisiaX, lemon juice, or kalk paste. It won't take them long to take over a 6 gallon tank.
Start mixing the kalk paste... It's Aiptasia killing time!
They can multiple relatively quickly when they want to, so the sooner they are dealt with, the better. As long as you still don't have fish or inverts in the tank, I wouldn't worry about the pH or other water chemistry effects using generous amounts of kalk paste will have in a 6g tank. But, in the future, if you have some pop up periodically once you've started stocking the tank, I'd suggest being a a little more cautious with how much you use at a time.
