17 years ago I sold off all my tanks to travel. I had a fw 10, fw 29, two fs 55's and a sw 135. Now present time I have the bug again and have been looking for a tank.
So....The phone rings the other day and its a friend of a friend who has to get rid of a 55 SW NOW. He said it has live rock, anenome's, power heads, filters, fish...ect, ect. No junk all good stuff. To be honest I was pretty suprized and only heard about half of what he was saying.
Here is the best part......it is FREE. I have to drive 75 miles each way and I am going to pick it up monday. I only have enough water containers for about 40 gallons so I will get what I can.
Couple questions though,
I am woried about the anenome's. Should I just take them and what they are attached to and move into bucket filled with tank water for transport?
Basically the same question for the live rock. Put in buckets?
Any other tips for moving an entire tank and keeping everything alive?
It is amazing how much we forget in 17 years. I have been overloading my last brain cell to remember everything, and its just not all there so I am sure there will be more questions ahead. Thanx in advance, Pugi
