'Cause H20 told me to :D

Everyone told me putting danios and bettas together was a mess up, but I thought it would be ok. Well, it's been about 4 days now and nobody has shown even the slightest agression. Danios avoid the betta, they dont really seem to care for his fins.

H20 told me to brag after a week but due to upcoming surgery I cant. Wish me and the tank luck. I realized this coulda gona into the old thread but I simply couldnt find it on search.

So it's confirmed for now- they CAN live together. I'll only be concerned if a danio dies, then they might do unruly things.

Thanks, me too. Things are looking okay, the betta seems to want to kill the cories more than anything else.

My only concern is that the danios will nip when they're larger. However, I bought them at petsmart which means when they got home they were at a point of starvation and didnt nip so that may be a good sign..

Probably I was one of those that were againt thet combination. The problem with bettas is that they can become agressive anytime. Even a peaceful one may wake up in a bad mood and start attacking his tankmates.

I hope this will not happen to you, and good luck with your tank.

Good to know all is good so far. I've heard people say zebra danios can be fin nippers. When I read that I was really surprised because I've never seen any kind of aggression from them.

I have a crowntail betta that's been really calm and mild since I've had him. I have a school of cardinal tetras in with him. Even bought some shrimp recently that I was worried he would eat but I don't think he has been.

Yeah my family had a school of danios before, in a 40G and they didn't nip at things.

Perhaps mine arent after the betta because they're in a small group and he's big? Whatever the reason, hope it stays that way.
