Hey guys, Ive read alot, asked alot, and still cant decide whether I should get one or not. I really really love the way it looks, but I have quite a few anemones and fancy corals alot too, so I will be taking that route with no doubt.. Will the Angel bother them or not? Simple question, and looking for a yes/no answers from ur experiences...

Online I've read everything from IT WONT GO NEAR YOUR CORALS ----> IT WILL KILL YOUR CORALS...

What are your experiences?

I think angels eat sponges...that's about all I know.

They do primarily eat algal matter, sponges, and tunicates--however, their diet is not limited to that. They can be rather cosmopolitan in their preferences, ranging everywhere from corals and zoanthids to carpet anemones (which most things would usually avoid). I have watched some specimens destroy tanks with sessile inhabitants, whereas others work just fine. This is why I think that either of those absolutes--"not reef safe" and "won't touch a thing" are very irresponsible and are overgeneralizations. Unfortunately, you will not get an informed answer that is as neat and straightforward as you would like--really, you are dealing in probability. You are more likely to come across a specimen that could/will cause a problem than one that would not.
