Keeping a ghost shrimp with a puffer

I know this may sound like a stupid question but how do you reckon a ghost shrimp would fair up in a tank with 7 green neons, 1 cory juhlii, 5 cherry barbs and a colomesus puffer? There are plenty of hiding places but I reckon the puffer would hunt it down. Any one have an ideas?

LOL. Thought my might be the case, I'm just curious really if anyone has had success in this area as some of the time the so called "rules" that people quote endlessly can be proved wrong by people experimenting.

Im not sure but won't a colomesus puffer eat everything smaller than it's self.
They grow to 6" and can crush through a snail in one bite!

Correct, mine loves his baby snails. It will usually leave smaller fish alone as long as they are fast and can move out of his way quickly. Infact mine joins my neons in laps round the tank. I think they are having there own little olympics

Colomesus are the less aggressive of the puffers. I forgot to add that. Here is a link:

You might to give your puffer some sauce to go with the shrimp if you put the shrimp in.

id go for it... if theres enough cover and hes well fed enough it very well might work.

Yea, I would give it a shot, if it doesen't work out, then unfortunately your out 10 cents, and the ghost shrimp didn't make it, but I think you stand a pretty good chance of having it work out. 6" is a bit large for the colemusus, there is a nother puffer that looks almost identical that get larger, like 6", and requires brackish water, but is hardly ever encountered. 3 to 4 or maybe five is the norm. It's nice to see someone got a colemesus to play nice in a community tank, just keep feeding it those snails
