Keeping Floating Plants Where I want them!

Thank you- I'll try the air tube idea first as I have all I need for that at home already- if that doesn't work for me- this gives me a great back up plan.

Thanks everyone- I felt for sure that I wouldn't be the first person to want to do this.

Slightly complicated in my case because the shaded part is in the middle... but concept should be the same!

here are the two ways i've done this. hope it gives you an idea of how to work it best for you. =)

method one: airline ring

clicky 1 | clicky 2

method two: airline barrier

clicky 1 | clicky 2

as you can see, very few escape artists, and very easy to adjust. =)

Great! Thank you...

What gauge of air pipe is that- is that just the regular thin... or is that a wider gauge. I suspect the wider I go the more it will show but the more effective it will be.

I also used a line of airline tubing stuck into suction cups on each wall of the tank (front/back), one on each side of the section where I wanted my floaters. For my brazilian pennywort floaters I looped it through a feeding ring and stuck the suction cup right where I wanted it.

it's just the generic gauge tubing. =)
