Ken's fish no carb pellet (mini review)

Well i am trying to get away from the more commonly used brands of fish food. The more i read the more it just does not seem to be that good.

Right now the current plan is to feed 2-3 times per day, the morning feeding between 8:30-9:15 will be flakes(ideally the omega one) one day and the next day the no carb pellets and alternating between those. the second feeding around 5:30 pm on weekdays will be either the opposite of what i fed in the morning or frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp. When i feed i am feeding enough so that a decent amount makes it too the gravel and not specifically feeding the corries until night when i drop in a sinking tropical tablet from tetra.

I will try and take a video tomorrow.. or look for one that shows similar behavior

I think you may be over-feeding. I feed all my tanks (except for fry tanks) once a day and fast once per week.

Well they are smaller feedings then "what your fish can eat in 2-3min." When I feed them they are only eating for less then a min. I very well may be over feeding though since I am really trying to make sure my angel is getting a lot so he can grow as hes quite small still.

I am however doing 50-75% water changes weekly and very good gravel cleaning. Right before water changes the nitrates are ~10ppm.

Don't really know what guidelines really to follow on feeding as before all i was feeding was one fish so i could easily keep an eye on what he took in. Now its quite different.

Well late today the angelfish is eating them which makes me happy.
Also the tetras are eating them as well.. kind of... some seem to really like them and others still question them so perhaps that will change. The ones that do eat them seem to still struggle with them though :/

Alright another update.

The angelfish REALLY likes them. Will eat about 3-4 at a time before he even stops to chew.. or whatever fish do.
The tetras need them presoaked for about 10min or so however, even after that only about half of them eat them. The other half still spit them out.
As for the cories i have still not been able to find a way to feed them on my gravel as they are small enough to fall through although they do seem to eat them when they can get to them.

Also in the tetras i am starting to notice orange in their fins on some of them that looks very vibrant which is something i did not see before this food

I myself have ordered the no carb pellet food, specifically the cichlid color pellet, and am about to receive the shipment tomorrow. Really appreciate your feedback on this shinyfish. Thanks!
