So about 10 minutes ago I threw in 6 pellets of ken's premium cat fish food (says good for cory cats), and i expected them to break apart like the Wardley shrimp pellets I had been using, but alas, they stayed solid. My panda cories found some, seemed to try to nibble on them but they wouldn't break apart! It seems like the pandas are giving up on them. I thought I was buying a great food since I heard so much about Kens but this stuff seems too solid for the corydoras? Or does it just need to sit in there a while longer?

I would let it sit there for a while.. they will eat it

his food is a bit hard-- but its exremely nutritious

actually i like that his catfish sticks stay solid for a bit, they'll soften up. If you've ever tried (that's tried to feed, not tried to eat :p:) the veggie sticks, you'll know they almost melt after a few seconds in the water. Messy =/

Alright, I can't really see them right now since it's dark but I hope they got eaten before they mucked up the water. I'll check in the morning, glad to know it will probably work out. :)

My pygmies even eat them, they do soften up and they will eat them. I too like that they don't immediately soften. Gives the cats a chance to graze on them before they get shoved into the water column.
