Kenyi tank mates?

I found this out the hard way some time ago. I went to my LFS, saw this cute little african cichild and convinced myself I should have it. I didn't know any better. Threw it in with some of my bigger SA/CA cichlids (I'm talkin 2" to 3" bigger). The Kenyi killed my 4" Salvini, and laid a beating to my GT within 5 days of being introduced. Needless to say, I learned my lesson the hard way. Keep that Kenyi to himself in the 29gal. Just my 2 cents

I have found that alot of aggression in my African tank is limited to other fish that would be genetically close enough to be breeding competion. and they pretty much leave the other fish alone. EXCEPT for my kenyii, he seems to want to chase everyone. It is possible if you and I were to add another male kenyii they would focus their chasing to their like kind. But I doubt it with the kenyii. I would have to agree with the "mod" that mixing the two worlds is not good and 29g is pretty small for Africans. (I just would have said it nicer.) Besides the reason Africans are so cool is their interaction with other fish.
