kh and gh high?

I did a water test in my tank last night and here are my results.

gh12
nitrite <0.3
nitrate 0

I am concerned about the gh and kh. Are these too high? If they are, how do I get them down. Also what are the negatives and positives with what I have with this chemistry set up? I have live plants and will be intoducing high pressure c02 in a couple weeks, maybe that will lower my ph. Thank you for everybodys input in advance.

The plants don't care, they may do better in a bit harder water per Tom Barr. The CO2 addition will lower the pH, but not the GH/KH.
