Kiddie pool as over-summer tank????

kiddie pool is a GREAT idea. I used it last summer to house my betta, paradise fish & zebra danio fry (separate pools). can't wait til summer so I could start breeding them again.

Yeah i can see all the pros and cons of this idea........but i'm gonna go for it. Of course i will construct a "top" consisting of chicken wire to keep critters out. Our next door neighbor had some beatiful butterfly goldfish with long flowing fins and blue eyes and their colors were a calico with lots of blue, red, yellow, gray, and black/white. A heron dropped in one day for a snack and ate every single one of them and the fish were anywhere from 6-10 long apiece. So i'm gonna make a cover for it. I have ideaers for the filter. It'll have at least a power head in it. I'm still thinking on it......I hope it goes well. BTW should i have gravel in the bottom of it or leave it bare???? And if i do have gravel should i vacum it every once in a while??? Thanks for all the help guys:) :D :)
