killer apple snail?

I have a real big white apple snail, he is my baby and eats from my hand. today I added a few more friends to the tank, 2 more apples that I had in my grow out tank. I was shocked that my white boy went on the attack and had them both encased and roughly I might add. he has chased them around, and one he just took off the tank wall and went and encased the front of her/him I hope there mating, thats fine but he looks like he is attacking them. thats not possible right?? :shakehead:
 
I have read of snail on snail "violence" with some of the larger species, but not bridgesii. How big is your big guy?

my boy is huge. I thought the female you sent was huge :eek: she was big but he is huge. I am worried now. see she passed away after he boinked her to death. I know he is an agressive snail, he was always after her night and day. I better remove the two I put in there after he lets loose, I worry he is just a big old tom cat who plays rough .
 
Ok, here he and the other snail is. looks like her insides are coming out. or I do not know much about mating. but it looks so much different then when he was mating with the other snail.

He first started on the front and enclased the snail. very weird looking since the poor snail was struggling to get away.
 
that looks pretty normal to me honestly. Keep a close eye though. I see mine doing that alot when they are "grooming" each other.
 
ok, I will but if he does nothing but bug them there out of there. I love that boy, but I really loved my girl and man when she died it broke our hearts :( Gosh, now I am talking like there my kids :lol: thanks Jinkz :)
