Killer Bleeding Heart Tetra?

My bleeding hearts chase each other around alot trying to prove who is boss I guess.....My larger male is the worst as he tends to think he is king of the tank ... But my GBR's will sit him straight if he comes around them and they are even smaller than he is :)

To describe what the last cardinal looked like, he was pretty beat up, fins all chewed, the bottom of his body looked "chewed" almost. I could tell he got pretty beat up. The never bother the hatchetfish though. I have not once noticed any aggression towards the hatchets, possibly becuase they are always at the top of the tank.

My tank had no ammonia or nitrite i constantly check that. The tank has been established for a little less than two years. I didn't overload the biolad with the cardinals, my tank was used to having a lot more fish.

I think my LFS takes fish back, but for no refund, doesn't matter but I don't want my tank to get ruined.

How many more hatchets should I get? I have 2 silver hatchets who have been in the tank since I set it up, and is it possible to mix them with 3 more marbled hatchets? Or will that be a problem. The hatchets have been my most healthy fish in the tank, despite their small numbers.

Lastly, what tetras could I get that won't form a problem. I was thinking like a small school of neons, a few rummynose.
