I went to go pick up a free 75 gallon tank and had assumed it was just the tank, as that's all the lady had mentioned.

Instead, I got there, and it was a 125, complete with hood, lights, and stand. It barely fit in my truck!

Talk about happy surprises!

here is my $100 90g set

this is the 140g that i got for $200 and the stand of death dude put it on that caused the seal to break

yeh thats right the kid put it on an eneven stand

and finally here are a few pics of the turtle tank deal i just got dude ran a biker shop an was moving an gave me all this stuff for $150 the turtle tank is under the wall of tanks its 55g complete with a fluval 304 filter

some very solid tables he made for his work shop

2 antique radios in addition to the one you cant see behind the wall o tanks

just when i get the place neatened up i come home with more tank stuff lol

so here is what the turtle tank looked like when i got around to cleaning it i did not really look that well at it when i brought it home it was late i was tired but here it is

where do i start

by gettin out the elbow grease an vinegar , man no wonder this dudes turtle calfed

and here is the finished product the filter it came with is a fluval 304 it cleaned up good but my goodness i thought prime stunk remind me never to leave a canister filter for a day or two before i clean it

the tank is now in my daughters room an we are gonna make it a tetra tank with double duty of nursery/daycare tank for those fry who are now about 1 inch in the nursery tank

saddly i think he just thought tank water an food add a filter that never needs changing and you have a turtle tank

i just got a great deal! a 125 plexiglass tank with custom built stand, Odessea light, Fluval FX5 filter, CO2 system, UV sterilizer, 2 titanium heaters, and a buttload of extras (food and water chemicals) for 200 dollars!!!! weeeeeee :-D

you know, if you ever get a cracked tank (like the OP did), turn around and resell it as a reptile or mouse/rat tank. it's all in the advertising. you can get more for it that way than you can if you sell it as a fish tank that needs repair work.
