killer insect

I'd still stick to my first guess that the critters are pods and just getting free feed of off the dead fish. If you had isopods you probably would have noticed they tend to get quite a bit bigger than copepods. It sounds like ich to me to do your fish have raised white bumps on their skins? It will look a bit like pimples and your fish will try to rub on any hard object. Did it start with one fish and then spread fairly quickly around your tank . Copepods are harmless snaks to your fish and really don't cause any issues ,"except for a shortage of them amongst some species of fish."
I'd encourage you to look up ich and see what you find. If it were isopods ,"most of them are harmless to," you'd most likely see them they are quite a bit larger than the copepods and most species tend to concentrate on the gills,eyes etc. Some species are small and will affect the fish in other areas but, I've never even heard of them in a tank," doesn't mean it can't happen".

it sounds like the fish are dying because there are too many of them. My lfs says that he often gets reports where people say that bristleworms and crabs have killed their fish, just becuase it was seen eating off it. The scavengers just see the dead fish as a free meal, and 99% of the time the fish died for other reasons. its something to think about

Let us assume that the copepods is the reason then with an enemy of the fishes . When where from? this copepods came and how was it transferred to basin of the fishes. :idea2: :confused: :mad2:

If you are seeing the critters attached to the live fish, they are parasitic and are likely contributing, if not causing, the deaths. If this is the case, they came in on one of the fish.

Other types of pods (copopods, isopods) that are detrivores typically come in with some item--sand, rock, etc, from either the ocean or another tank. None of the detrivores will be on living fish.

your tank is amazing, post more pics, please. Are the coral fake or real?? If the tank has live coral then treating the whole tank should not be done but if the only living thing in there are fish then some medicines can be used, but some kill critters too, like snails.

This coral was not real as I said previously only while he is producing the fishes in this tank.

Then what is the drug which I shall employ for the physiotherapy. :look:

well unless you have indentified what it is you shouldn't treat it. Do you have any pics of them on the fish? do you have any more pics of the tank?
