Killifish Breeding/raising

Mine go nuts for freeze dried krill and plankton once it's been rehydrated. Like I said though, they wouldn't take anything but live for the longest time, but they eventually got used to it. NLS finicky eaters formula gets snapped up like crack by my fish (now). I would strongly suggest against buying killies on DF&S, as their prices are about 5 or 6 times the highest any sane person would pay for most killies. There are many respectable killie diealers on aquabid, and you stand to get younger pairs of more varieties that way. I have had great experiences with the seller SillyKillies myself.

I couldn't tell you... I've honestly never seen a single egg in the tank, but the fry are plentiful. The other thing is, they tend to lay a few eggs a day rather than a bunch of eggs at once. If you plan on raising the fry seperately, I suggest leaving the parents in a tank for about 2 weeks, feeding them live/frozen food the whole time, then removing the parents to another tank.

Try frozen mysis. They pack alot more nutrition than the brineshrimp, and their higher fat content will be better for breeding conditioning.
