James, I'm really interested in hatching the killies from babies to enjoy the experience, though I would like to have some of that species -- do you have any eggs?

the ones you picked out look nice...
I was going to also recommend the Norman's Lampeyes... you'd be hatching eggs in no time, and the fry are fairly easy to care for. I have been growing out 13 fry for a while now, and haven't lost one.
Inka suggested the Annulatus too... These are some of my favorite fish. But I don't know if I'd consider them beginner killies the way I would with the norman's... they are a lot more fragile in my opinion. Even though the seem happy to breed for me, I've lost several...

I got some fp. gardneri lafia gold though, 100 eggs! I received them in the mail today... I have new questions!
Basically... I have no idea what to do do!! I got like a little plastic baggie with peat in it, and I see some eggs but most of all I see like white spotchy patches, kind of like super tiny spider webs. What are they? How do I safely inspect the peat? And what's the safest method of storing them at a warm temperature until I see some eyes?

Kay, i couldn't find a microscope
() but I tried to bust out the camera and use the macro option. Are those two dots eyes or what? A lot of the eggs have them! The little stick behind the egg is a piece of peat I couldn't separate, they're so tiny :[
