Killifish

what kind did you have in mind?

I have golden wonder killis (gold panchax). They are mildly gressive. Will eat fish that are not much smaller than them. Wonderful personalities. I feed mine flakes as a staple, with treats of brineshrimp or baby guppies once a week. They leave my ottos alone. keep mainly to the top of the tank, but venture to the depths once in a while. You could have a few in a well maintained 10 gallon. sexing is difiult but not impossible. Anything else?

Yeah Pseudepiplatys annulatus (Clown Panchax) kinda looks like a clown loach but it doesnt even grew to the size as a neon tetra and the fundulopanchax gardneri is just beautyful and grows about 2 inches so i decide which one so any one have any experience with these fish?

hmmmmm... i'll try and find a good killie forum for you.

The gardneri is considered an easy killie to start with, and there are a zillion color subspecies of them. P annulatus is a lot harder, I think.

Make sure you've got a good tank cover- killies are expert jumpers. Make sure you've got spawning mops or other cover. In a bare tank, sometimes a male will kill a female in his eagerness to breed.

In case you haven't seen it, the AKA has an edition of the beginners guide online:

Even though some killies will eat flake food, I've found that live food helps a lot. I'd try to get a culture of wingless fruitflies, whiteworms, or something as a supplement. And maybe some microworms for the fry.
