My mom has a koi pond in her backyard. Her boyfriend changed the water earlier today... and i think he left some soap behind. The pond is sudsy and one fish is dead, one is dying, and one seems to be doing pretty well. Is there anything i can do for the dying one? I put it in a bucket of fresh water, but is there something available at wal-mart (the only place open right now with fish supplies) that i can put in the water to try to save him? Please respond quickly... i don't know how long he's going to make it. It's so sad to see him like this.

I suggest you do a 100% water change and take out most of the rocks from the pond to get rid of all the soap. as for the dying koi, do daily water changes on the bucket and keep it well airated(an airstone and air pump will help here), please do not put any chemical in the water, there is'nt much you can add to the water that wil help him if it's water quality that made him ill. Water changes is what you should do right now to take out the soap, and be sure to use declor, specifically prime as we know for sure that this works for cloramine and amonia.

thanks so much...

...unfortunately the dying one has passed. The third one seems to be okay. We did a full water change in the pond and cleaned out all the plants and stuff. We're hoping for the best...
