Koi Question! (again :) )

Sarasa Goldfish

The Sarasa goldfish is a beautiful fish. Looks like a comet except more 'sleek' appearance and it won't grow quite as big as a comet. You could have several in a 250g. Check them out, they are gorgeous!
xo :)

Shubinkins are a good choice for you, they started as fantail comets crosses but are now their own breed, up to 12 inches long:) Very pretty LONG fins.

I have seen some NICE one's!!

I'm thinking of going this route. I found a great deal on a 180gal so I might go with that

The Commets will be wonderful! My Mom has over 25 of them in a large outdoor decorative pond. She has had 10 of them for over 6 years. In the proper conditions they will bread. The last time they bread she got 3 of the most beautiful black with hints of gold scales. You will be so happy with them. Good luck!

Orandas and ryukins can be awfully fun when they grow to their proper sizes. They actually can get 10" or larger when given the room and a good varied diet. And they're so much more... bumbling than the torpedo shaped varieties. Very friendly, personable fish. They're easier to interact with because they aren't as hyper as comets.
Although they are prone to a few more health problems, and they are much more delicate, requiring sinking food, the occasional feeding of peas, and special consideration as far as tank decoration, current, etc. Not quite as low maintenance as the hardier varietes. But darling nonetheless.
