I've been bored tonight, so I decided to try and draw a koi fish, like a tattoo design.
I've been researching and you-tubing how to draw them, and I think I like how it has turned out.

And this thread would be WWOP (Worthless With-Out Pictures) so here ya go..
Let me know what you think :]

It is my first attempt so please don't get too hasty to flame me :flamed:

Many thanks to the YT Tutorial and The Photoshop Tutorial (Though this was drawn free-hand.)

Very cool. I love Photoshop and my wife loves to draw. I've been thinking about buying a nice graphic design pad so she can draw directly into photoshop or illustrator.

New Design :]

Well I decided to draw another. I think it is A LOT better than the first attempt.
Again, Let me know what you think!

Thanks.
Many thanks to this example and tutorial.

Nice!!

Wacom makes awesome graphic tablets that are like mouse pads that you draw on with a pen/stylus tool. I used one for awhile to draw pics in Photoshop and also on many web boards using applet programs. Wacom's Bamboo Fun line is affordable and what I've used. They sell bigger ones which are nice but pricey. Check out their site here.

Was this going to be a color tat? If b&w I'd suggest more line weights & shading. I tried drawing a betta once and gave up. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to try again! :)

Keep us updated on your designs!

Edit: AHH! Very nice!!! Hey... I have an idea... draw a cory! :grinyes:

Thank you guys!

Okay, I'm trying to take in all of these suggestions, when I get back home tonight I'll change the first ones eye, and hopefully make time to draw a cory for fishycat :D
But, I have no idea how it will turn out so I may have to find a picture on the internet.. Lol.

Um, were you meaning like design or actual tattoo fishy? The second one was meant to be drawn in b&w I think, I'll try colour today or tomorrow.

I'll be sure to keep you posted! :D

Yeah, I do need to work on shading, the second pic was my first time actually shading one in, so I need more practice and if I can find the time during the day, I'll do so.

One of those photoshop pad things would be awesome! Maybe when I can get some cash I'll buy one, but as you have mentioned, they aren't cheap.
