Kribs - I got FRY!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried to take a pic. I was not trying to breed but I noticed today I got 3 fry swimming around there parents! This is in my 75 tank. So cool when they just do this on there own! I am excited and the kids are PUMPED up. Here is a few pics. WAY hard to see them. I don't got a good camera.

how long have you had the fish for? and congratz!
 
Yay!! :) I love seeing fry for the first time. Now that you've got a pair you can expect them to do that ever 1.5 months or so - believe me it gets almost annoying, lol

I have had the fish for maybe 3 or 4 months I guess. They were not Tinny when I got them.I started with 3 but lost 1. No Idea I had a pair.
 
They're very easy to sex, just look for triangular tails on the males and rounded tails on the females. I have two females who are really mean to each other, they both get incredibly purple bellies around the same time and start picking at each other. I swear it's like a mini Bachelor (tv show) in my tank...

Do you ever feed your kribs veggies? Mine love to pick at cucumber, lettuce and zucchini, and the fry do as well.

At this point I just let the tetras that are in there with them eat them :( - I know it sounds mean but I've already got 8 kribs in a 55 gallon tank and there's no way I'm going to break the tank down every two months to scoop out some fry!
 
I always have Zucchini in there. They are in that mess of plants and picking off the stems and sides of the tank and there parants right now. I would love to see some make it BUT if not - O well. I never tried to sex them in the past but it doea sound easy - The Femail is SO much more colorful than the mail, right now its easy to tell.

I am almost positive that their spawning will be a regular occurrence from now on, so don't fret if they don't make it. If that ends up being the case, might want to get a sponge filter in there for future broods.

What else have you got in there? :)
 
I got a sponge filter in there but its on the other side of the tank from where they have nested. I got a mix of Tetras and a few other dwarf Cichlids (Apisto's), Cory's, Lotches, Pleco's, Farowela cat, Whip Tail cat & snails. Its a mix of all kinda stuff. Several different plants, some wood and Yep - I think thats it. LOL

PS - The Mom chases EVERYTHING out of that corner of the tank - She us Agresive!!!!!!!
