Kribs in a community tank?

It really depends what size the tank is.... the more room the kribs have the better. A 20 gallon 'long' should be sufficient to give the kribs enough room and allow for some schooling fish.

I would avoid other cichlids (especially other pairs) and maybe stay away from gentle bottom fish like corydoras that may get picked on. Provide lots of caves/hiding places for the kribs. I kept kribs in a 20 gallon with tetras, danios, a ram, an angel, and cories. All were fine, but I had a really mellow pair. I've noticed that different fish will have different temperments. Some males will be really agressive and some more passive.
