I just bought 3 of them for my 90 gallon community tank.......and they are soooooo awesome!!

Now I'm wondering, can I put Kuhli Loaches in my 75 gal tank with sand.....the future home of african cichlids?? I would think the cichlids would find them a tasty treat.......but if there's sand to bury in, won't they hide most of the time? I thought they would be good to stir up the sand. So far, in my community tank (gravel), they hide a lot. What do you folks think?

I've always liked the Kuhlis' !!

I just wonder if they could handle 86 or so degrees of water?

They do hide, but like to come out at night. I wish they were more daytime oriented creatures. Sand would be a perfect substrate for them - correct me if I'm wrong about that.. I'm not sure about the cichlids you mentioned.

I'm keeping my Kuhli's in a tank with a sand bottom. They do dig and stir it up once in a while. Mostly just hides in their rocks piles until the lights are out.

They would. Even the "vegetarian" ones might bother them.
