Kuhli loaches in high ph?

Considering getting some kuhli loaches. I have read they do best in lower ph and soft water. My ph is 7.8 and very hard.
I try to avoid the low ph loving fish. Will these adapt well to a higher ph, or should I cross them off my list?

Anyone have the loaches that are doing well in a higher ph?

my water is pretty basic about 8ish, but fairly soft. i have definateley had good experience with them

pH is not an issue, Twistermom. Mine lived with me previously and the pH is 8.0 as I dose calcium carbonate for my snails.

Mine live in San Diego tap water which is at a pH of 8 so dont worry about it!
