Hello,
I've done some research on Kuhli loaches, but a lot of the info I've found contradicts itself. I've got a ten gallon with sand substrate. I wanted to get either kuhli loaches and cory cats because I was afraid of overstocking. But now, when I checked a post from a long time ago ("Questions about Kuhli loaches ..."), it said that the guy had 8 kuhli's in his 10 gallon tank, and everyone said it was ok.

Is that normal? I was thinking four, but isn't that cutting it close to overstocking?

Thank you for any input!

hey there! i have 3 kuhlis in a ten gallon with 2 blue rams... it depends on if you are getting other fish in there i s'pose. like you, i wouldn't go over about 4 kuhlis in a 10 gallon just because i think they'd like some room but if it is a species tank you might be able to fit a few more. mine are still small (2 inch) but they are happy and i love the little buggers.

i would go with kuhlis... cory cats are sweet but i think they need a bit more room if you get a shoal (6 or so) like they should be kept in (unless u go pygmy cories).

i like my kuhlis... and my yoyo loaches (in my 3 ft tank) loaches are cool... :)

good luck!!!

That's what I thought!

Thanks Hayely :D First time I say that name spelt like that. Pretty cool!

Kuhli loaches are cool when you see them most of the time they hide. I would get like five and then get some neons to add some action in the tank when the loaches are hiding.
