i was just wondering if i would be able to keep a/some kuhli loaches with my cherry shrimps.....currently they are in a 10 gallon planted aquarium with a sand bottom.

Nope, most loaches including kuhlis eat shrimp.
This is almost a blanket statement. Not all loaches are that bad enough they would be isolated from inverts. Kuhlis are fine. There ae hundreds of species of kuhlis around. A lot of these have very small mouths to even permit them to attack a shrimp, let alone a fry.

I've kept kuhli loaches with multiple species of shrimp. You should be OK. What you should look for is a kuhli population spike. Left to their own devices, kuhli populations will grow fairly large. Due to their timid disposition, their true numbers can easily go unnoted, since they hide in the gravel and rarely venture out during the day.
