Kuhlii Loach

I bought a Kuhlii Loach and it died on me in a few days. The aquarium has hiding places, a sand bottom and I put in some shrimp pellets after lights out. The water in the tank is quite hard. I wonder if that is an issue for a Loach?

nope prob sick. i have hard water and a bunch of them hree.

I had one die on me when I first got my tank because I did not know about cycling. Usually they tend to be pretty hardy.

How did you acclimate to the tank and is it established? I have found that kuhlii's can be a bit sensitive when transferring and thus acclimation should be a slow process.

:iagree:Kuhlis don't handle shipping well sometimes, it helps to wait to get them until they've been at lfs for a couple weeks. If you decide to try again, get 5-6. They're very social & you'll see them more often with lots of hiding places too.
