Will kuhli loaches and blue rams live together peacefully in a 40 gallon? I've heard that Rams can be aggressive to other bottom dwellers...

I really like the look of kuhli loaches, what are other peoples opinions of them?

I'm worried that if I do get them, becuase they are long and thin, they might get sucked/swim up my canister filter inlet. Is this likely to happen?

Thanks in advance.

I've never kept kuhlis, but from what I've heard they are escape artists. So plan for covering all holes - better safe than sorry. I was at the LFS and some kid points at the floor yelling "WHAT IS THAT??". It was a loach. His dad picked up the fish and threw it back in the tank before the employees could even get over.

Again, as I've never actually kept them, can't say for sure about the filter inlet. I'd say you're best off assuming they will try and to just cover it with a sponge before you get any.
