i have a new edition to my tank and i am looking for someone to confirm my thoughts or to suggest a different l# for my new baby
sorry for the quality of the pic.. i am going to try and get some that are better quality but he/she likes to move around a lot
(camera shy me thinks)
i am thinking L075 (para pl*co) but i could be way off on that

How much did you pay for it (you can give ballpark, the rarer the pleco the higher the $$)? From the pic it looks like a Regular Pleco or perhaps a Gibbiceps but that could just be the picture. Better pics would help :)! Anyway, hope this helps and good luck!
 
hey there, it also looks like a common pleco to me, but then again i may be wrong :duh:

btw.. this may sound dumb but i don't know what the L no. is lol, i just see it and wonder what it's for.. can u pls tell me abt this? sorry if i didn't start my own thread :duh:

An L number is used to identify this family of fish that are newly imported and otherwise unidentified. The L stands for Loriicaid, the family name. This is why you'll often see fish with more than one L number--they were imported more than once, assigned a different number each time, and then later determined to be the same species.
