Murderous curviceps!
Hello fish people,
I posted in the newbie forum, I thought I'd also post here.
I have three curviceps, no idea what sex, about 2" long. They were alone in my 20L tank and I thought I'd get some dither fish. So I got six zebra danios.
Within an hour my cichlids killed two and were going after the rest. WTH???
I am torn between three theories:
1. Danios were too small and were treated as food.
2. Two of the cichlids are getting ready to spawn (but in that case why are my three happily hanging out together?)
3. My curviceps need an exorcist.
Any suggestions welcomed.
I'm trying to learn more about these guys. Some literature says they're carnivores, other say omnivores.
Oh p.s. the rest of the danios are safe.
