Does anyone on here keep any large angelfish, particularly the Majestic Angel (Euxiphipops navarchus)? I can't think of anyone and contemplating a future attempt one - they are my absolute favorite, dream fish, would lose a toe in order to keep one lol.

A beautifull fish, and if brought at the right size, are quite hardy...aim to buy one between 3 - 5 inches in size, as the smaller ones get stressed far too easily, and the larger ones will be a total tank bully...Usuals like good appearance and watching it eat, preferably a variety of foods in the shop over a couple of days...

Good luck Mandy :)

Beautiful fish. Hopefully you do get one. It would give me some ideas for my FOWLR tank setup. I have yet to stock it.

I think I'm going to end up going with one. my 75 (too small for what I'd want to keep it in in the long run, but will be upgrading after May) has some corals which I'm going to move over to a nano as well as a small derasa clam if the angel would nip at it.

Thanks for the info Niko. It's one of the few fish I keep reading not to do juvenile due to the color change that gets messed up a lot of times in captivity and being more delicate.

Angels need lots of room. Majestic is my favorite also.
