What are some larger cichlids that i could put in a 3ft long tank? By large i mean 5-10 inches. I would like an albino oscar but i think the tank is too small am i right?

I wouldn't put any 8"-10" fish in a 3' tank. Its not large enough for them. I suggest a 6' long tank minimum. I keep Mylochromis melanonotus. Males grow to 10" and females 8". They are schooling, non-agressive, open water Malawian species. But they need space to roam. I had thirty (30) of them in a 6' long 3' wide vat. I just put them in an 18' long 7' wide vat and they really like the added space.

What are the other dimensions of your tank? That's the only way to really know the suitability of potential stock.

I've got a 3ft long tank that's only 30 gallons; way too small for an Oscar. Glasscages makes a 3ft long tank that's 140 gallons, and suitable IMO for an oscar.

Many cichlid keepers who raise fish such as midas, trimac, carpintis, synspila, oscars, and other species similar in size and temperment use the 3' - 65gallon tank. 36"Lx18"W. Good foot print for a single species. A single adult oscar would work out fine in the tank providing decor is minimal and filtration is up to par.

Ex. I myself have a Perfecto 65gallon combo(tank, hood, lights, pine cabinet). I filter it with (2)AquaClear 500 Power filters, and heat it with a 300watt titanium heater.

If space is available a standard 4'-75gallon is my prefered minimum tank size.

Could I get 2 Convicts(Male and Female) and 1 Firemouth for a 29 Gallon?

Two cons maybe, or one con and one firemouth maybe but you will be really crowded. the pair of cons would not be good at all with any other fish in a 3 foot tank. when they mate, they will kill/ attempt to kill anything that cannot get out of "their" space.
