My set up:

30 gal planted tank
9 neons
3 salt and pepper corys
2 mollys
2 platies

My question:

I have some room left in the tank and would like to put one or two larger fish in there. keeping in mind with I have what would you suggest?

Thanks

or three gouramis

gouramis wouldnt bother the other fish? i was under the impression that they were aggressive.

The larger types to each other... True Honey males touch each other with their feelers to fight, IME, lmao. Sparklings don't fight, at all.

First you should get more Cories. 4 is their minimum group, so I'd say double your numbers for a happy school.

even if they are community fish, anything large that will be able to fit those neons in its mouth will eat them, its has nothing to do with agressiveness.

if you could find a breeding pair of Angels, you could do that. I tried my luck on 3 angels once and ended up returning all of them for partial store credit after a month due to aggression. and that was in a 29g planted. And bonus Angels love planted tanks.

angels will eat the neons, and adding a breeding pair isnt the best for the other fish in the tank. corydoras can be kept with a breeding pair of angel in a 30 gallon, but not other midwater fish. plus, a 29 gallon si better considering it is much taller, which is what angelfish need.

add some more mollies, corydoras, and neons.
