Well, I can attest to the sting, they do pack a mean punch. Those tentacles acted like a magnet right towards my hand any time I would stick it in the tank, and they would latch onto my hand quickly and I would have to pull pretty hard to get them off, it was like velcro on my hands. On top of that the maroon clown would bite me very hard, enough to bleed on a few occasions. I lost a flasher wrasse to it once as well, one quick touch to the wrasse was all it took to go from swimming to floating, to wrapped up and put in its mouth, all in a matter of seconds.
